Corporal Timothy O'Connor Jr - Pennsylvania State Police - Pennsylvania

On March 8, 2026, Corporal Timothy O'Connor Jr, from the Pennsylvania State Police, was dispatched to investigate an erratic drive in West Caln Township, near the intersection of Michael Road and Route 10, at approximately 8:24 p.m.

Corporal O'Connor located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.  When Corporal O'Connor approached the vehicle, the driver shot from inside the vehicle.  Corporal O'Connor was fatally wounded.  The driver was later found near the vehicle with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  

Corporal Timothy O'Connor had served with the Pennsylvania State Police for over 15 years and was 40 years old. He also served with the West Chester Fire Company. Survivors include his wife, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, and nephews.

As part of our "Plaques for Heroes" mission, engraved slate memorial plaques were sent to the Pennsylvania State Police and to Corporal Timothy O'Connor's family at no cost to honor his service and his sacrifice to the State of Pennsylvania. Our condolences to his family, his department and the community he served.
