Deputy Sheriff Justin Bradford Mowery - Blount County Sheriff's Office - Tennessee

At approximately 5:12 p.m. on December 28, 2025, Deputy Justin Bradford Mowery of the Blount County Sheriff's Office, Tennessee, was killed in a single-vehicle crash.

Deputy Mowery had been pursuing a driver of a stolen motorcycle who was refusing to pull over.  During this pursuit, Deputy Mowery's patrol vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a utility police.  The motorcycle driver fled the scene.

The motorcycle driver was eventually identified and he was a convicted felon.  After being arrested, the driver was charged with evading arrest resulting in the death of a law enforcement officer.  

Deputy Justin Mowery had served with the Blount County Sheriff's Office for five years. He is survived by his mother, brother, and uncles.  Our prayers and condolences to Deputy Mowery's family, both at home and with the Blount County Sheriff's Office.
