Deputy Sheriff Kenneth Lewis - Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office - Texas

On February 21, 2026, Deputy Sheriff Kenneth Lewis from the Fort Bend Sheriff's Office (Texas), stopped to assist a stranded motorist on the I-10 near Eldridge Road at approximately 3:40 a.m.

While assisting this motorist, Deputy Lewis was struck by a vehicle.  The vehicle did not stop. 

Deputy Lewis was transported to the hospital and he succumbed to his injuries two days later on February 23, 2026.
