Share
On May 15, 2026, Firefighter Andrew Cross, from the Morill Volunteer Fire Department (Maine), was killed in the line of duty.
Firefighter Andrew Cross and other firefighters were fighting a fire in Searsmont, Maine, which also turned into an explosion. Several other firefighters were seriously injured with some in critical condition.
Firefighter Cross had been a member of the Morrill Volunteer Fire Department for three years and loved being a Firefighter.
Our prayers and condolences to Firefighter Cross' family both at home and with the Morrill Fire Department. We also pray for a full and speedy recovery for all the other firefighters who were injured.
