Firefighter / EMS Brittany Hathaway - Cliff Gila Fire Department - New Mexico

The Cliff Gila Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of its own, Firefighter/EMS Brittany Hathaway, passed away on January 22, 2026, after suffering a medical emergency while responding to a call for service. Hathaway exemplified dedication and service, faithfully serving her community not only as a firefighter, but also as a dispatcher for Grant County and as an EMT with Gila Regional EMS.

Her commitment to protecting and helping others reflects the very best of the first responder community. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of serving alongside her.
