
Firefighter/Paramedic Graham Hoffman - Kansas City Fire Department - Missouri

During the early morning hours of April 27, 2025, Firefighter/Paramedic Graham Hoffman of the Kansas City Fire Department (Missouri), had responded to an incident in which an individual required transport to the hospital.
While tending to the patient, the patient stabbed Firefighter/Paramedic Graham Hoffman in the chest. Immediately after the stabbing, additional personnel from the Kansas City Missouri Fire and Police Departments were dispatched to the scene.
Kansas City Missouri Fire Department crews worked to save Firefighter/Paramedic Hoffman’s life while they transported him to North Kansas City Hospital. Lifesaving efforts continued in the hospital emergency room before Hoffman was moved into surgery. Despite all these lifesaving efforts, Firefighter/Paramedic Hoffman passed away from the injuries he sustained. The patient who stabbed Firefighter/Medic Hoffman was taken into custody.
Firefighter/Paramedic Graham Hoffman was a compassionate, caring, loving, and a leader on and off the job by his fellow firefighters and academy classmates. Graham was a dedicated professional who loved serving his city.
Firefighter/Paramedic Hoffman was only 29 years old. He had been on the job as a firefighter since 2022.
As part of our "Plaques for Heroes" campaign, engraved slate memorial plaques were sent to the Kansas City Fire Department and to Hoffman's family at no cost to honor his service and his sacrifice to the community of Kansas City, Missouri.
