K9 Karma - Isanti Sheriff's Office - Minnesota

On August 7, 2025, K9 Karma of the Isanti Sheriff's Office in Minnesota, was tasked with pursuing two drug suspects in Cambridge, MN.  

K9 Karma was assisting the East Central Drug and Violent Offenders Task Force in executing a search warrant at a suspected drug residence.  When executing the warrant, two suspects fled the scene which resulted in a vehicle pursuit.  The suspects vehicle crashed and the suspects fled on foot.  At this time, K9 Karma was deployed to capture the suspects.

During the incident, K9 Karma began showing signs of distress and was immediately taken to a treatment facility.  Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated rapidly and K9 Karma passed away the next day on August 8, 2025. 

The two suspects were apprehended and then released on bond.

K9 Karma was only three years old and had served the Isanti County Sheriff's Office for two years.   Prayers and condolences to K9 Karma's partner and the Isanti County Sheriff's Office.

As part of our "Plaques for Heroes" campaign, engraved slate memorial plaques were sent to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office and to K9 Karma's partner at no cost to honor his service and his sacrifice to the community of Isanti County, Minnesota.
