K9 Kyro - Flagler County Sheriff's Office - Florida

On October 15, 2025, K9 Kyro of the Flagler County Sheriff's Office in Florida, had been training with his handler in Palm Coast, Florida.

During a training break, K9 Kyro was placed in his patrol vehicle with the air conditioner on and all emergency alerts activated.  When his partner checked on him, K9 Kyro was unresponsive.  The air conditioner was still on and cooling the vehicle. 

K9 Kyro was immediately transported to an Emergency Hospital but he could not be resuscitated.  

K9 Kyro had served with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office for over one year and was training in patrol and narcotics.  Kyro aided in arresting 37 suspects, helped in the detection and seizure of 65 grams of illegal narcotics and located 25 items of drug paraphernalia.  Kyro was only two years old.  Our prayers and condolences to his partners with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
