K9 Scout - Suffolk Police Department - Virginia
On May 26, 2025, K9 Scout of the Suffolk Police Department (Virginia) was searching a heavily wood area in Suffolk for a wanted fugitive.
A few hours later, K9 Scout was distressed and he was transported to a local animal clinic. Unfortunately, K9 Scout succumbed to heat stroke the following day on May 27, 2025.
K9 Scout had served with the Suffolk Police Department for three years. He received an Award of Merit, two Departmental Commendations, and three Departmental Noteworthy Performance Awards. Our prayers and condolences to K9 Scout's partners, department, and the community.
