On April 22, 2026, Officer Dallas Hinton of the Thomasville Police Department (Alabama) was killed in an automobile crash on U.S. 43 in Clarke County, near mile marker 90, at approximately 4:45 a.m.
Officer Dallas Hinton was driving his patrol vehicle north when he collided with the rear end of a tractor-trailer, also traveling north; despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officer Dallas Hinton had been with the Thomasville Police Department for two years and had previously served with the United States Marine Corps. Survivors include his father, two sisters, and his fiancée.
