Officer Kendall Isaiah Corder - Milwaukee Police Department - Wisconsin

On June 26, 2025, Officer Kendall Isaiah Corder (Milwaukee Police Department) and his partner responded to a domestic assault involving an individual with a gun.  As they were en route, the call was upgraded to a shots fired.

When Officer Corder and his partner exited their patrol vehicle and approached the alley, they began experiencing incoming gunshots of at least sixteen times.  The suspect was shooting a Glock-style handgun with an extended magazine and was hiding in the bushes.

Both officers were transported to Froedtert Hospital.  Officer Corder's partner was shot in the back and in the foot and was later released on June 28, 2025.  Officer Corder remained on life support suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in which one of those gunshots had severed his spine.  Unfortunately, Officer Corder succumbed to his injuries on June 29, 2025.

The suspect was apprehended the following day and was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.  Another individual was charged with harboring or aiding a felon.  A third person was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

Officer Kendall Isaiah Corder was 32-years-old and had served with the Milwaukee Police Department for over six years. He is survived by his grandmother, two siblings, and a nephew.

As part of our "Plaques for Heroes" campaign, engraved slate memorial plaques were sent to the Milwaukee Police Department and to Deputy Kendall Isaiah Corder's family at no cost to honor his service and his sacrifice to the community of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
